Burswood International Resort Casino is based in Perth, WA and has a large casino facility with nine restaurants and six bars, 2 hotels, a multifunctional Convention Centre, a Theatre, a night club, food court and the Burswood Dome entertainment complex.

 

Requirement

Resort Casino initially engaged Changing Directions to prepare their extensive contract documents in preparation for them outsourcing of all of their cleaning services across the casino. This cleaning contract was valued at over $3.5mill P/A.

Solution

As part of the contract process, Changing Directions was tasked with:

• Preparing the evaluation criteria for EOI
• Managing an EOI for them, reviewing and evaluating all responses
• Distributing tender documents and briefing qualifying contractors
• Facilitating a fully transparent and accountable tender process
• Preparing a detailed tender evaluation and recommendations
• Handling all communications with contractors
• Facilitating the transition of the contract
• Carrying out baseline assessments of the cleaning
• Monitoring the contractor's service delivery in all areas of the facility

The outcome achieved was a significant saving for Burswood Casino and at the same time, provided them with the structure to achieve consistent standards.
